What we use to deliver enterprise software solutions

Tools and platforms we typically use, and the systems it connects to. The final choice is made against your systems, budget and team.

What we deliver

Enterprise Software Solutions in Dubai: what is included

Enterprise software solutions Dubai headquarters need usually span more than Dubai: GCC subsidiaries, several currencies, board reporting and demanding IT security teams.

01

Regional HQ control

Dubai head offices often oversee companies in Saudi Arabia, Oman or Qatar. We set up a shared chart of accounts and item master with local ledgers per country, so the HQ reports in AED or USD while each subsidiary files locally.

02

Family group structures

Dubai family groups run trading, real estate, hospitality and contracting businesses under one owner. We design shared services for finance and HR with separate business units, so each company keeps its identity and the family office sees the whole picture.

03

DIFC and ADGM entities

Groups with a DIFC or ADGM holding company follow those centres' own data protection laws and reporting. We keep those entities' data, roles and audit trails separate where required, and confirm the current requirement at scoping.

04

Board and investor reporting

Monthly board packs, covenant reports and investor updates are produced from the ERP and a Power BI model, not from spreadsheets emailed between CFOs. Figures reconcile to the ledger with drill-down to transactions.

05

Passing corporate IT reviews

Dubai enterprises have security teams that review every vendor. We provide architecture diagrams, data flow documents, role matrices and hosting details up front, and work within your Entra ID, MFA and change-approval processes.

06

On-site design workshops

Process design for finance, procurement and sales is run face to face at your Dubai office with the people who do the work. Complex approval chains and intercompany flows are much faster to settle in a room than over email.

A worked example

DIFC-led regional HQ standardising subsidiaries

How enterprise software solutions in Dubai looks in practice. Illustrative; every project is scoped to the business.

An expense report in Zoho Expense

Picture a regional headquarters in DIFC overseeing distribution subsidiaries in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Oman. Each subsidiary chose its own accounting system, month-end packs arrive in different formats, and the board asks for the same numbers three different ways. The group finance director has been told to put all entities on one platform within a planned programme.

  1. Design a Dynamics 365 Finance template with a shared chart of accounts, entity-specific tax set-up and standard approval rules, piloted first on the Dubai subsidiary.
  2. Roll the template out country by country, with local tax and statutory reporting handled per entity and intercompany trading posted automatically between group companies.
  3. Build a Power BI board pack from the consolidated ledger with drill-down to entity and transaction, replacing the manual spreadsheets sent by each subsidiary.
What changes: Every subsidiary closes on the same template, the DIFC team prepares board reporting from one ledger, and adding a new country becomes a repeatable rollout instead of a fresh project.

Options compared

Which platform for enterprise software solutions in Dubai?

An honest comparison. We implement all of these, so the recommendation follows your processes, team and budget.

OptionBest whenHow it fits this need
Dynamics 365 FinanceSeveral countries, heavy consolidation and formal internal audit.Built for multi-entity, multi-country groups with strong controls. Highest licence and implementation effort of the options, so justified mainly for larger Dubai regional headquarters.
Business CentralMid-size groups with a handful of entities and simpler needs.Lower cost and faster to roll out, with good multi-company support. Consolidation across many countries and complex statutory needs can stretch it.
Odoo EnterpriseOperations and finance must live in one flexible platform.Multi-company, multi-currency and broad operational modules at moderate cost. Board-level controls and audit trails need careful design to satisfy demanding corporate and investor reviews.
Zoho One with AnalyticsService-led groups with light accounting across entities.Affordable and quick, with consolidated reporting in Zoho Analytics. Not the right answer for groups needing formal consolidation, eliminations and complex approvals.
UAE specifics

What changes in Dubai

The local rules and realities we design for before go-live. Rules change, so we re-check the current position at scoping.

Downtown, DIFC and Business Bay HQs

Many regional headquarters sit in Downtown Dubai, DIFC and Business Bay. We have no office in those districts; we deliver remotely from our RAK free zone office and hold workshops at your Dubai premises.

JAFZA and DMCC groups

Groups with JAFZA manufacturing or DMCC trading arms need designated zone VAT treatment, bonded stock and re-export documents handled alongside mainland sales. The enterprise design keeps those flows correct per entity.

E-invoicing across the group

Larger Dubai groups with revenue of AED 50M or more are in the first mandatory e-invoicing phase from 1 January 2027 under the current decisions. One ASP connection across entities saves duplicated work; check the Ministry of Finance for the latest dates.

Working with businesses in Dubai: we support companies across JAFZA, DMCC, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Internet City, DIFC, Al Quoz and Dubai South, with remote delivery and on-site workshops where the project needs them.

Cost and integrations

What drives the cost, and what it connects to

No price list: we quote a fixed price in AED after discovery. These are the factors that move the effort up or down.

Countries in scope

Each country adds tax set-up, statutory reports, languages and local stakeholders. A Dubai-only group is far simpler than one spanning the GCC and beyond.

Template versus local variation

The more each subsidiary insists on its own processes, the more configuration, testing and support the programme needs. A firm template keeps cost predictable across rollouts.

Corporate review requirements

Security assessments, penetration tests, access reviews and internal audit sign-offs add documentation and fixes to the plan, especially for listed or investor-backed groups.

Board reporting depth

Simple consolidated summaries are quick; investor-grade packs with segment reporting, covenants and drill-down to transactions need noticeably more modelling and reconciliation effort.

What it connects to

Subsidiary legacy systems

During phased rollout, trial balances from entities not yet migrated feed consolidation in the new platform each month.

Microsoft Entra ID

Staff across all entities sign in with group identities, with conditional access and audit logs applied centrally.

Banking platforms

Payment files and statements for UAE, Saudi and Omani accounts flow between the ERP and each bank's corporate channel.

E-invoicing ASP

UAE entities send invoices in PINT AE format through an Accredited Service Provider, while other countries follow their own mandates.

Power BI

Consolidated ledger and operational data feed board, investor and management reports with row-level security by entity.

How it works

How we deliver enterprise software solutions

Phases, indicative timing and what is delivered in each. Scope is fixed and priced in AED before we start.

1Weeks 1-3

HQ workshops

On-site sessions in Dubai with finance, operations and IT leaders map entities, reporting lines and the systems each country uses.

2Weeks 3-6

Blueprint

Platform choice, global design, local variations per country and a rollout plan are documented and signed off by the steering committee.

3Months 2-6

Dubai go-live

The Dubai head office and its UAE entities go live first, so the global template is proven close to leadership.

4Months 6-18

Regional rollout

Other GCC subsidiaries adopt the template with local tax and payroll variations, each wave with its own cutover and training.

5Ongoing

Support from Dubai

Application support, release testing and quarterly roadmap reviews, with visits to your Dubai office for planning sessions.

When enterprise software solutions is the wrong answer

If your Dubai company is a single entity with under about 50 users, a full enterprise programme is overkill; Business Central, Odoo or Zoho One implemented well will serve you better at lower cost. And if the group is already committed to SAP or Oracle, we do not implement those, so our role would be limited to integration and surrounding apps.

How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.

Before you buy

Checklist and common mistakes

Buyer's checklist

What to ask for before you choose a provider.

  • Ask whether the provider will build a global template and how local variations for each country will be controlled.
  • Confirm how the design answers your corporate IT review, including identity, logging, backup and hosting location.
  • Require a rollout plan by entity with a pilot, lessons learned and clear go or no-go criteria for each country.
  • Check how board and investor reporting will be produced and reconciled back to each entity's ledger.
  • Ask who from the provider will attend workshops at your Dubai office, and how often during design.
  • For Dynamics, confirm licences are bought from Microsoft or a CSP and the provider acts only as implementer.

Common mistakes

What we see go wrong in the UAE, and how to avoid it.

  • Letting every subsidiary customiseRegional HQs in Dubai often allow each country to redesign the template, which multiplies cost. Hold a firm global template and approve local changes only when law requires them.
  • Skipping the pilot entityRolling out to all subsidiaries together hides template flaws until they are everywhere. Pilot one entity, fix what you learn, then scale.
  • Underestimating the IT reviewCorporate security reviews late in the project delay go-live by weeks. Share architecture, hosting and access design with group IT at the outset.
  • Board packs outside the systemIf board reporting is still assembled in spreadsheets, trust in the new platform stays low. Build the board pack from the consolidated ledger from the first close.

FAQ

Enterprise Software Solutions in Dubai: questions we get asked

What makes enterprise software solutions Dubai groups need different from the rest of the UAE?
Dubai hosts many regional headquarters, so the design must usually cover subsidiaries outside the UAE, several currencies and board-level reporting. DIFC entities, JAFZA and DMCC operations and demanding corporate IT reviews also shape the project more than they would for a single-emirate company.
Can you run workshops at our office in DIFC or Downtown Dubai?
Yes. Design workshops, steering meetings and training can be held at your Dubai office. We do not have an office in DIFC or Downtown; our UAE office is in the RAK free zone and most build work is delivered remotely.
Can one system handle our Dubai HQ and our Saudi or Omani subsidiaries?
Yes, with a global template and local variations. Dynamics 365 Finance, Business Central and Odoo all support multiple companies, currencies and tax setups. Local e-invoicing and payroll rules in other countries are confirmed with local advisers at scoping.
Is Shyphan a Microsoft partner for Dynamics 365?
No. We are an independent implementation and integration consultancy. You buy licences from Microsoft or a CSP; we design, implement and support. Microsoft list prices include Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise at USD 105 and Business Central Essentials at USD 70 per user per month.
How is this different from the enterprise software solutions UAE page?
The UAE page covers enterprise systems for groups anywhere in the country. This Dubai page focuses on regional HQs, family groups and free zone operations run from Dubai, cross-border subsidiaries and on-site work in Dubai.
How do you price a Dubai enterprise programme?
The blueprint phase is quoted first, then each go-live wave gets a fixed quote in AED based on entities, countries, modules, integrations and data migration. Licences are billed by the vendor. We do not quote ranges before we understand the group structure.
How do enterprise software solutions in Dubai handle subsidiaries outside the UAE?
We design one group template and add each country's tax, statutory reporting and language requirements as local set-up within it. Countries go live in waves, and until an entity migrates its trial balance feeds group consolidation. Local tax advice comes from each country's advisers; we implement what they specify.
Can we keep a subsidiary's system if it works well?
Yes. Some subsidiaries have a specialist or recently implemented system worth keeping. We integrate it for consolidation, intercompany and master data instead of replacing it, and revisit later if it becomes a constraint. The decision is made on cost and risk, not on having every entity on identical software.
Who should own the enterprise platform inside our group?
Usually a group systems owner in finance or IT with a small team, supported by key users in each subsidiary. They control the template, approve changes and plan releases. We help define the roles and train the team, then provide specialist support as needed.
Why choose Shyphan?
We are a Zoho Premium Partner, an Official Odoo Partner and an independent Dynamics 365 consultancy that also builds AI and custom software, so we recommend by fit rather than by what we resell. Delivery runs from our Ras Al Khaimah office with remote delivery across all seven emirates.
