Zoho Billing Implementation Services: what is included

Zoho Billing implementation sets up recurring revenue properly from day one.

01

Plans, add-ons and coupons

We model your price list as products, plans, add-ons and coupons with monthly, annual or custom intervals, trials and setup fees, and multi-currency price lists, so sales can quote and customers can subscribe without finance building invoices by hand.

02

Usage and metered billing

For per-seat, per-transaction or consumption pricing we set up metered add-ons and push usage from your product through the Zoho Billing API, so each cycle invoices what was actually used, with clear line items customers can check.

03

Dunning and failed payments

We configure retry schedules, dunning emails, card-expiry reminders and the action taken after final failure, whether that is cancelling, pausing or leaving the subscription unpaid, so involuntary churn is handled by rules, not memory.

04

Payment gateway setup

We connect Stripe or other gateways supported in your markets, card and bank payment methods, auto-charge rules and hosted payment pages, and test the full cycle of signup, renewal, refund and chargeback before launch.

05

Revenue and churn reports

We set up MRR, ARR, churn, customer lifetime value and collections reports, plus Zoho Analytics dashboards where needed, so leadership sees subscription health and finance can reconcile revenue with Books.

06

CRM, Books and product sync

Won deals in Zoho CRM create subscriptions, invoices and payments post to Books, and your application receives webhooks for upgrades, downgrades and cancellations so product access always matches billing status.

Across markets

How Zoho Billing Implementation Services changes by market

Tax, e-invoicing, data protection and language rules differ by country. We confirm the current position for each market at scoping.

Tax rules per country

UK VAT at 20% under Making Tax Digital, EU VAT rates by country, Gulf VAT at 5% or 15%, India GST and US state sales tax all change how subscription invoices are taxed. We confirm the current rules at scoping.

E-invoicing obligations

Saudi FATOORA Phase 2, India IRN e-invoicing above a turnover threshold, UAE e-invoicing phases from 2027 and EU Peppol moves affect recurring invoices. We plan whether Billing or Zoho Books issues the compliant invoice.

Payments and currencies by region

Card, bank transfer and local gateway options differ by market, as do settlement currencies. We set multi-currency price lists and pick gateways that are actually available where your customers pay.

How it works

How we deliver Zoho Billing Implementation Services

Phases, indicative timing and what is delivered in each. Scope is fixed and quoted before we start.

1Week 1

Pricing and tax review

We document plans, add-ons, billing rules, currencies, gateways and the tax registrations for each country you sell into.

2Weeks 1-2

Catalogue and settings

We build products, plans, price lists, taxes, invoice templates, dunning rules and the customer self-service portal.

3Weeks 2-4

Integrations

We connect gateways, CRM, Books, usage feeds and product webhooks, including custom Deluge or API work for your application.

4Weeks 4-5

Migration and testing

We import active subscriptions with correct next-renewal dates and card tokens where the gateway allows, then test renewals end to end.

5Week 6 onwards

Launch and support

We switch billing over at a cycle boundary, monitor the first renewal runs and train finance on reports and exceptions.

When Zoho Billing Implementation Services is the wrong answer

If you bill a few clients a fixed monthly retainer, recurring invoices in Zoho Books are enough and Zoho Billing adds cost and complexity. Very complex enterprise contracts with heavy revenue recognition rules may also need an ERP. We would recommend the lighter or heavier option honestly after reviewing your pricing model.

How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.

FAQ

Zoho Billing Implementation Services: questions we get asked

What does Zoho Billing implementation cover?
Zoho Billing implementation covers product and plan setup, add-ons, coupons, usage billing, taxes, invoice templates, payment gateways, dunning, customer portal, migration of active subscriptions, and integration with Zoho Books, CRM and your own application through the API and webhooks.
Can Zoho Billing handle usage-based or metered pricing?
Yes. Metered add-ons are charged on the quantity reported each cycle. Your application sends usage through the Zoho Billing API, or we build a scheduled sync, and the invoice lists the usage clearly so customers can check it.
Which payment gateways work with Zoho Billing?
Zoho Billing supports several gateways including Stripe, and availability differs by country and currency. We check which gateways support your entity country and your customers' payment methods, then configure auto-charge, retries and refunds and test them before launch.
Can you migrate subscriptions from Chargebee, Recurly or Stripe Billing?
Yes. We export customers, plans and active subscriptions, map them to Zoho Billing with correct renewal dates, and where the gateway allows, keep saved payment methods so customers do not need to re-enter cards. We switch at a billing cycle boundary.
What is the difference between Zoho Billing and Zoho Books?
Zoho Books is accounting software with simple recurring invoices. Zoho Billing is built for subscriptions, with plans, add-ons, proration, metered usage, dunning, a customer portal and MRR and churn reports. Many clients use both, with Billing syncing to Books.
How long does a Zoho Billing implementation take?
Typically four to eight weeks, depending on pricing complexity, the number of countries and gateways, and product integration. We give a fixed quote after a free discovery call; Zoho Billing licences are billed by Zoho.
Why choose Shyphan?
We are a Zoho Premium Partner, an Official Odoo Partner and an independent Dynamics 365 consultancy that also builds AI and custom software, so we recommend by fit rather than by what we resell. We are headquartered in Noida, India, with seven offices and remote delivery worldwide.
