What we deliver

Arabic Software Development in the UAE: what is included

Arabic software development in the UAE builds bespoke web applications, portals and internal systems that work natively in Arabic and English, for processes no packaged ERP or CRM models well.

01

Bilingual web portals

Customer, supplier or partner portals switch fully between Arabic and English, including forms, validation messages, emails and downloads. Layouts are built with logical CSS so RTL is not a separate stylesheet that falls out of date.

02

Arabic business software

Case management, service requests, inspections, contract registers and similar internal systems are built around your process, with Arabic fields, Arabic workflow labels and approvals, and reports your Arabic-speaking managers read directly.

03

Arabic PDFs and letters

Certificates, letters, invoices and reports generate as Arabic or bilingual PDFs with correct shaping, mixed-direction text and your letterhead. We test output with real names and long Arabic addresses, where cheap PDF libraries fail.

04

Arabic search and data quality

Database search normalises Arabic spelling variants and supports mixed-language queries. Duplicate checks on names account for Arabic transliteration differences, so the same person is not stored three ways.

05

Arabic AI assistants

Where useful, we add assistants that answer staff or customer questions in Arabic and English from your own documents, using retrieval so answers cite sources. Humans stay in the loop for decisions.

06

Links to Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics

Bespoke Arabic software rarely stands alone. It exchanges data with Zoho, Odoo or Dynamics 365 through APIs, so finance and stock stay in your ERP while the custom system handles the unique process.

A worked example

Developer's bilingual handover and snagging portal

How Arabic software development in the UAE looks in practice. Illustrative; every project is scoped to the business.

Building a form in Zoho Creator

For example, a property developer with residential projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah hands over hundreds of units a year to buyers who speak Arabic, English and other languages. Payment schedules, handover appointments and snagging requests are handled by email and phone, and Arabic-speaking buyers often receive English-only letters.

  1. Build a bilingual buyer portal where owners choose Arabic or English, view payment schedules, statements and handover documents, and book handover appointments.
  2. Add a snagging module where buyers submit defects with photos, contractors receive tasks in their language, and buyers track progress until each item is closed.
  3. Connect the portal to the developer's ERP and CRM, so payments, unit status and buyer contacts stay consistent, with formal letters generated in both languages.
What changes: Buyers across all emirates see their unit status and documents in their preferred language, snagging is tracked to closure with evidence, and customer relations staff answer fewer status calls.

Options compared

Which platform for Arabic software development in the UAE?

An honest comparison. We implement all of these, so the recommendation follows your processes, team and budget.

OptionBest whenHow it fits this need
Custom bilingual portalBuyer experience and multi-project processes are uniqueSuits developers and larger service organisations wanting a branded Arabic-first portal across projects, with control over workflows and integration to several systems.
Power Pages on DataverseDynamics 365 already runs sales or customer serviceFast route to a portal on existing Dynamics data, with Arabic support. Shyphan works as an independent consultancy; licences come from Microsoft or a CSP.
Odoo portalOdoo holds sales, invoices and helpdesk ticketsBuyers can see invoices and tickets in Arabic with modest customisation. More complex snagging, contractor and appointment flows need custom Odoo modules and testing.
Zoho CRM with customer portalZoho CRM already manages buyers and unitsZoho CRM portals give buyers access to their records at low cost. Arabic layout and design flexibility are more limited than a custom portal.
UAE specifics

What changes in the UAE

The local rules and realities we design for before go-live. Rules change, so we re-check the current position at scoping.

Government-linked expectations

UAE government-linked clients and their suppliers often expect Arabic interfaces and documents as standard. Bespoke systems built Arabic-first meet that expectation without workarounds.

In-country hosting

Custom software can run in Azure UAE North or AWS me-central-1, which suits clients with data residency expectations and helps with PDPL, DIFC or ADGM obligations.

E-invoicing if you bill

If the software issues invoices, UAE e-invoicing via ASPs from 2026-2027 applies to your business in its phase; check the Ministry of Finance for the latest dates. We usually route invoicing through your ERP instead.

Cost and integrations

What drives the cost, and what it connects to

No price list: we quote a fixed price in AED after discovery. These are the factors that move the effort up or down.

Systems behind the portal

A portal reading one ERP is simpler than one combining CRM, ERP, document storage and contractor systems, each needing integration, mapping and error handling.

Formal bilingual documents

Letters, statements and notices in formal Arabic and English need template design and review, and grow with the number of document types issued.

Identity and security

Verifying buyers, protecting financial records and meeting data protection rules add design, testing and security review effort well beyond a public marketing website.

Workflow modules

Snagging, appointments, service requests and payments each bring their own screens and rules, so scope grows with the processes placed in the portal.

What it connects to

Dynamics 365, Odoo or Zoho CRM

Buyer contacts, units and requests sync so customer relations teams and the portal share one record.

ERP accounting

Payment schedules, receipts and statements flow from the ERP to the portal for each buyer.

UAE Pass

Where eligible, buyers sign in with national digital identity; otherwise phone and email verification is used.

Azure OpenAI

An Arabic and English assistant answers common buyer questions from approved documents, handing complex queries to staff.

Contractor task system

Snagging items become tasks for contractors; progress updates and closure photos return to the buyer's view.

When Arabic software development is the wrong answer

Custom Arabic software is costly to build and maintain compared with configuring Zoho, Odoo or Dynamics 365, which already support Arabic. If a platform covers most of your process, we recommend configuring it, or building on Zoho Creator, rather than writing everything from scratch.

How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.

Before you buy

Checklist and common mistakes

Buyer's checklist

What to ask for before you choose a provider.

  • Ask how Arabic and English content will be managed for formal letters, portal pages and notifications after launch.
  • Confirm the portal meets accessibility needs in Arabic, including screen readers and larger text settings.
  • Check how buyer identity is verified before showing financial records, and whether UAE Pass is possible for your use case.
  • Ask where data is hosted and how the provider handles PDPL, and DIFC or ADGM rules if relevant to your entities.
  • Require code ownership, documentation and deployment scripts in your organisation's accounts from the start.
  • Ask how the portal will handle e-invoicing changes if invoices are shown or issued through it.

Common mistakes

What we see go wrong in the UAE, and how to avoid it.

  • Arabic pages lagging behind EnglishUpdating English content first leaves Arabic outdated. Make both languages required for every public page and notice, with an approval step before publishing.
  • Portal without back-office changeA portal only shows what staff update. Plan who updates each status and how, otherwise buyers see stale information and call anyway.
  • Over-trusting AI answersAn assistant answering from outdated documents misleads buyers. Limit it to approved sources, show references, and route payment or legal questions to staff.
  • Forgetting e-invoicing plansIf invoices are shown or issued through the portal, UAE e-invoicing changes may affect it. Check the Ministry of Finance timeline and design for it.

FAQ

Arabic Software Development in the UAE: questions we get asked

What is Arabic software development in the UAE?
It is building bespoke web applications and business systems whose screens, documents, search and data work natively in Arabic and English. It suits processes that packaged software cannot model, where Arabic-speaking users are central.
What counts as Arabic business software in the UAE?
Arabic business software in the UAE covers any system staff or customers use for work in Arabic: portals, case and request management, registers, inspections and reporting. Some is best delivered by configuring Zoho, Odoo or Dynamics 365; the rest is custom-built.
How is Arabic software development different from Arabic ERP?
Arabic ERP configures an existing platform for finance, stock and sales in Arabic. Arabic software development writes bespoke applications for processes those platforms do not cover, often integrated with the ERP.
How is this different from Arabic mobile app development?
This page covers web and business systems used mostly on desktops and browsers. Arabic mobile app development covers native-feeling iOS and Android apps.
Who owns the code?
You do. We deliver into your Git repository with documentation, and host in your cloud account if you prefer, so another team can maintain it later.
How does the UAE page differ from your Dubai page?
This page covers Arabic software craft for any UAE organisation, including government-linked work. The Dubai page focuses on Dubai sectors such as real estate, trading and professional services.
Can Arabic software development in the UAE include an AI assistant in Arabic?
Yes. We build Arabic and English assistants that answer from your approved documents and data, such as policies or unit information, and hand over to staff when unsure. We test answers with Arabic speakers, restrict sensitive topics, and host components in UAE regions where possible.
How do you test Arabic quality before launch?
Native Arabic speakers review every screen, document and notification in context, not in a spreadsheet of strings. We test right-to-left layout on phones, tablets and desktops, check mixed Arabic and English content, and run acceptance sessions with your own Arabic-speaking users before go-live.
Can the software serve users in all seven emirates?
Yes. The software is cloud-hosted in UAE regions and used across all emirates. We deliver remotely, hold on-site workshops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah when needed, and meet in RAK at our office. Emirate-specific rules or content can be configured per user or project.
Why choose Shyphan?
We are a Zoho Premium Partner, an Official Odoo Partner and an independent Dynamics 365 consultancy that also builds AI and custom software, so we recommend by fit rather than by what we resell. Delivery runs from our Ras Al Khaimah office with remote delivery across all seven emirates.
