What we use to deliver ERP platform development

Tools and platforms we typically use, and the systems it connects to. The final choice is made against your systems, budget and team.

What we deliver

ERP Platform Development in the UAE: what is included

ERP platform development UAE groups need when several businesses should share one foundation: common master data, shared services, an API layer and a governed way to add new apps and companies.

01

Shared core, local variations

A trading arm, a contracting company and a hospitality business each need different processes but the same chart of accounts, vendors and group reporting. We build a shared core with controlled variations per unit, so the group avoids running three unrelated ERPs.

02

Group master data services

Customers, suppliers, items and employees are managed once and shared across companies, with approval before new records are created. That cuts duplicated suppliers and gives the group one view of spend and exposure.

03

API layer for every system

A documented API layer exposes orders, stock, invoices and approvals to websites, mobile apps, banks and partners. New channels connect to the platform once, instead of each business unit building its own integration.

04

App model for new needs

New requirements are built as apps on the platform, using Odoo modules, Power Apps on Dataverse or Zoho Creator, following shared design and security rules. Business units get new tools faster without breaking the core.

05

Shared services centre

Finance, procurement and HR teams serving several companies work from one platform with company switching, shared work queues and service-level tracking, which suits UAE groups centralising back-office work while each company keeps its own books and approvals.

06

Governance and release control

A change board, environments, automated tests and release notes control what enters production. Odoo's yearly versions and Microsoft's twice-yearly release waves are planned in advance rather than handled in a rush.

UAE specifics

What changes in the UAE

The local rules and realities we design for before go-live. Rules change, so we re-check the current position at scoping.

Mainland, free zone and GCC

UAE groups often combine mainland and free zone companies with subsidiaries elsewhere in the GCC. The platform handles separate VAT registrations, Corporate Tax views and localisations per entity from one core.

Data rules per entity

Group companies may fall under federal PDPL, DIFC or ADGM data protection rules. We design data access and hosting per entity so shared services do not breach the rules that apply to one member of the group.

One e-invoicing route

Rather than each company arranging its own ASP connection, the platform provides one PINT AE e-invoicing service for the group, ahead of the phased timeline starting with a pilot from 1 July 2026. Check the Ministry of Finance for the latest dates.

How it works

How we deliver ERP platform development

Phases, indicative timing and what is delivered in each. Scope is fixed and priced in AED before we start.

1Weeks 1-3

Group assessment

We map each business unit's processes, systems and data, and identify what should be shared and what should stay local.

2Weeks 4-5

Platform blueprint

Core data model, API design, app rules and governance are documented and priced as a phased fixed AED quote.

3Weeks 6-14

Core build

Shared finance, master data, security and API layer are built and tested with a pilot business unit.

4Weeks 15-24

Unit onboarding

Further business units move onto the platform in waves, each with its own migration, testing and training.

5Ongoing

Operate and extend

New apps and companies are added through the governance process, with optional ongoing support and development.

When ERP platform development is the wrong answer

A platform approach only pays back when several businesses or channels will share it. A single company with one set of processes should implement a well-configured ERP instead. And groups whose units have almost nothing in common may be better with separate systems plus group reporting. We will say which fits.

How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.

FAQ

ERP Platform Development in the UAE: questions we get asked

What is ERP platform development UAE groups actually buy?
A shared ERP foundation: common finance, master data, security, APIs and governance, on which each business unit runs its own processes and apps. It replaces several disconnected systems with one controlled core, built on Odoo, Business Central with Power Platform, Zoho or custom components.
How is a platform different from implementing an ERP?
An implementation sets up an ERP for one organisation's current processes. A platform is designed for growth: adding companies, apps and channels over years through a governed model, with shared services and an API layer from the start.
Which technology do you use for an ERP platform?
Odoo multi-company with custom modules, Business Central with Power Platform and Dataverse, or Zoho One with Creator, depending on the group's needs and existing investments. Some platforms combine an ERP core with custom services. We are platform neutral.
How long does an ERP platform take?
The core and a pilot business unit typically take four to six months. Further units follow in waves of two to three months each. The group assessment gives a realistic plan before you commit, and the pace can be adjusted to your budget and internal capacity.
How is it priced?
In phases, each with a fixed AED quote: assessment, blueprint, core build and each business unit onboarding. You can stop after any phase, and you own the code, designs and documentation produced. Platform licences are paid to Odoo, Zoho or Microsoft separately.
Can we add a Saudi or Omani company later?
Yes, if the platform is designed for it. We plan currencies, languages, tax localisation and e-invoicing per country from the blueprint stage, so adding an entity is configuration and onboarding rather than redesign. Local tax and payroll rules for that country are confirmed with local advisers.
Why choose Shyphan?
We are a Zoho Premium Partner, an Official Odoo Partner and an independent Dynamics 365 consultancy that also builds AI and custom software, so we recommend by fit rather than by what we resell. Delivery runs from our Ras Al Khaimah office with remote delivery across all seven emirates.
