Is Zoho POS the right fit for your business?
Zoho POS suits French retailers, showrooms and counter-service businesses running separate till and accounts systems. If that describes you, the platform will earn its licence quickly; if it does not, we will say so on the discovery call rather than after the invoice.
The capabilities that matter most in French deployments are fast till interface for barcode scanning, split payments and returns and real-time stock decrement against Zoho Inventory across shops and warehouse. Everything else is configuration around those two.
The e-invoicing reform, monthly DSN payroll filings and four TVA rates have pushed French businesses towards cloud systems that file, reconcile and report without a bolt-on. We size the edition against what you will genuinely use, which frequently means recommending a cheaper plan than the one you arrived expecting to buy.

Zoho POS for businesses across France
We implement Zoho POS for clients in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Lille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Montpellier and Rennes and every region between. Delivery is remote on CET and CEST with on-site workshops where the scale justifies it.
French deployments almost always need three things handled properly: French tax treatment, integration with the finance system already in place, and training that survives the first busy month. Those are the parts we spend the most time on.
Whichever app you start with, the delivery is the same: data migration and team training.
Getting Zoho POS right in France
French sellers often ship across France and into the rest of the EU. This is how Zoho POS is set up for that.
Warehouses as real locations
Stock in your own warehouses, 3PLs and marketplace fulfilment centres is tracked by location, with transfers documented.
Imports and landed cost
Customs duties, freight and handling are recorded against the shipment, and import TVA is self-assessed (autoliquidation) on the CA3, so margins reflect what an item really cost.
Channels counted once
Orders from Shopify, Amazon.fr and your own store land in one place, with the right TVA rate on each product and the OSS applied to consumers in other EU countries.
Carriers and labels
Colissimo, Chronopost, DPD and UPS rates and labels are generated from the order, with tracking sent to the customer.

What French compliance means for Zoho POS
In France, TVA and corporate tax are filed with the DGFiP, payroll is reported every month through the DSN, and the e-invoicing reform changes how invoices are sent and received from 1 September 2026. These are the rules a French setup has to get right.
| Obligation | What the rule is | What has to be configured |
|---|---|---|
| TVA (VAT) | The standard rate is 20%, with 10% for restaurants, passenger transport and some renovation work, 5.5% for most food, books and energy-efficiency works, and 2.1% for the press and some medicines. Returns go on the CA3, monthly or quarterly for small amounts, under the régime réel normal, or on the annual CA12 with instalments under the régime réel simplifié. Intra-EU B2B trade uses the reverse charge (autoliquidation) with EMEBI and DES declarations, B2C distance sales go through the OSS, and import VAT is self-assessed on the CA3. | The right rate by item and customer, SIREN and intra-community VAT numbers on every invoice with the mandatory mentions (payment terms, late-payment penalty rate and the EUR 40 fixed recovery fee), reverse charge and OSS treatment set correctly, deductible TVA tracked, and CA3 or CA12 figures for each period. |
| E-invoicing reform | From 1 September 2026 every VAT-registered business must be able to receive structured e-invoices, and large and mid-sized companies (GE and ETI) must also issue e-invoices and e-report. SMEs and micro-businesses must issue from 1 September 2027. Invoices travel through approved platforms (Plateformes Agréées) in Factur-X, UBL or CII format, and invoices to the public sector already go through Chorus Pro. | Zoho Books' French edition producing Factur-X invoices and connected to B2Brouter, an approved platform, for sending and receiving, customer SIREN numbers captured on every account, and the full flow tested before your issuing date. |
| Corporate tax (IS) | The standard rate is 25%, or 15% on the first EUR 42,500 of profit for qualifying SMEs (turnover under EUR 10m, fully paid-up capital and at least 75% held by individuals). The annual liasse fiscale is built from accounts kept on the Plan Comptable Général, and the FEC (Fichier des Écritures Comptables) must be produced on request in a tax audit. | A chart of accounts on the PCG, entities kept separate, fixed assets recorded, and journals kept complete and sequential so the FEC can be produced on request. |
| Payroll (DSN, URSSAF, PAS) | Every month the employer files the DSN (déclaration sociale nominative) through net-entreprises.fr, pays social contributions to URSSAF and withholds income tax at source (prélèvement à la source). Payroll runs on a French payroll engine such as Silae, PayFit, Sage Paie or Cegid; Zoho Payroll is not available in France. | Zoho People kept as the HR record and connected to your payroll provider, so hires, pay changes, absences and leavers flow across without rekeying, and payroll journals posting to the ledger. |
| Employment and data rules | The legal working week is 35 hours, with RTT days where working time is set above it, five weeks' paid leave (2.5 working days per month), sector collective agreements (conventions collectives) and mandatory company health cover (mutuelle). GDPR is enforced by the CNIL, including consent before non-essential cookies, and the Loi Toubon requires French in consumer documents, employment documents and contracts. | Leave, RTT and working-time rules set per collective agreement, accounts provisioned in Zoho's EU data centre (zoho.eu), consent captured for every contact, French templates for customers and staff, and access and deletion requests handled on record. |
The filing calendar
- Monthly, quarterly or annuallyTVA return: the CA3 monthly (or quarterly for small amounts) under the régime réel normal, or the annual CA12 with instalments under the régime réel simplifié
- MonthlyDSN through net-entreprises.fr, with social contributions to URSSAF and income tax withheld at source
- Once a yearLiasse fiscale and corporate tax (IS) return, built from the annual accounts

We configure the system to produce what these returns need, and we test it against your own transactions before go-live. We are not tax advisers: your expert-comptable signs the returns, and rates and thresholds change, so treat this as the shape of the work rather than advice. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.
