Cost Management ERP in the UAE
Cost management ERP in the UAE shows what each product, job, shipment and department really costs. It adds freight, customs duty and clearing to imported stock, collects labour and materials on jobs, allocates overheads, and reports variances against standard. We build it for importers, manufacturers and contractors whose margins are set on guessed costs.

What we use to deliver cost management ERP
Tools and platforms we typically use, and the systems it connects to. The final choice is made against your systems, budget and team.
Cost Management ERP in the UAE: what is included
Cost management ERP in the UAE shows what each product, job, shipment and department really costs.
Landed cost on imports
Freight, insurance, 5% customs duty, clearing and port charges are allocated to each item on a shipment by value, weight or volume. Stock is valued at landed cost, so selling prices are set on the real figure.
Job and project costing
Materials issued, timesheets, subcontractor bills and equipment hours post to each job as they happen. Project managers see cost to date against budget and estimated cost to complete while there is still time to act.
Standard and actual costing
Manufacturers set standard costs from bills of materials and routings, then compare actual consumption, scrap and labour per order. Variances are split into price, usage and efficiency so the cause is clear.
Cost centres and analytics
Every expense carries a cost centre and optional analytic tags such as branch, emirate or product line. Department heads receive their own cost reports without finance re-cutting the ledger each month.
Overhead allocation rules
Rent, utilities, shared services and management costs are allocated by headcount, floor area, revenue or machine hours using rules you control. The allocation is repeatable each month and documented for auditors.
Cost variance alerts
When a supplier price, freight rate or job cost moves beyond a threshold, the owner is alerted. Cost increases reach pricing decisions within days instead of showing up as a margin surprise at quarter end.
The platforms we deliver it on
Real screens from the platforms we implement. Yours are configured to your entities, processes and KPIs.

The Zoho Inventory dashboard
Sales activity, inventory summary, low-stock and top-selling items, and order status, on web and mobile.
- Zoho: fastest and lowest cost per user for SMEs and growing teams.

Replenishment in Odoo Inventory
Products below their minimum with the proposed route: buy, manufacture or transfer between warehouses.
- Odoo: strongest where stock, manufacturing and operations lead.

A Business Central role centre
The home page each user gets for their role: headlines, activity cues, KPI tiles, charts and actions. The numbered callouts come from Microsoft's documentation.
- Dynamics 365: best for Microsoft-centric companies and larger groups.
What changes in the UAE
The local rules and realities we design for before go-live. Rules change, so we re-check the current position at scoping.
Duty and port charges add up
The 5% GCC customs duty applies to most imports, plus clearing and port handling at Jebel Ali, Khalifa or Sharjah. Allocating these per item is the only way to know true unit cost.
Free zone versus mainland stock
Goods held in a free zone such as JAFZA may not bear duty until they enter the mainland. Costing by location shows the duty impact of each channel and supports duty deferral planning with your broker.
Labour cost beyond salary
In the UAE, labour cost includes housing, visas, gratuity accrual and transport, not just basic salary. Loading these into hourly rates makes job costs realistic for contractors and manufacturers.
How we deliver cost management ERP
Phases, indicative timing and what is delivered in each. Scope is fixed and priced in AED before we start.
Cost structure review
We map where costs arise, how they are captured today and which decisions depend on them.
Costing method design
Landed cost rules, costing methods, cost centre structure and overhead allocation keys are agreed with finance and operations.
Configure and load
Cost structures, bills of materials and opening stock values are configured, then reconciled to your current balance sheet.
Trial period
A month of actual costs flows through, and results are compared with your current figures.
Reporting live
Variance, job and product cost reports are published to operations and finance owners, with a monthly review agreed.
When cost management ERP is the wrong answer
If you resell a few items bought locally with no freight or duty, simple average cost in your accounting software is enough, and a costing project adds little. And if the problem is that nobody reviews cost reports, software will not fix that; we would start with a monthly cost review routine first.
How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.
