What we deliver

Logistics App Development in Dubai: what is included

Our logistics app development Dubai service is built for forwarders, 3PLs and e-commerce couriers moving goods between JAFZA, Dubai South, Al Quoz warehouses and consignees across the city.

01

Free zone to mainland flow

Orders moving out of a JAFZA or Dubai South warehouse carry the documents and references your team needs for the free zone exit, so the driver app shows whether a load is cleared before the van leaves the gate.

02

Same-day courier waves

E-commerce clients in Dubai expect same-day delivery. The dispatcher console builds morning and afternoon waves, assigns bikes or vans by parcel size and area, and reshuffles when a driver runs late on Sheikh Zayed Road.

03

First-mile seller collections

Online sellers in Business Bay offices or Al Quoz units book pickups from a web form. Riders collect, scan each parcel at the seller's door and bring it to the sort hub, so the chain of custody starts before your warehouse.

04

Cold chain temperature logs

Pharmacy and chilled food distributors running refrigerated vans record box temperature at loading and at each drop, from a Bluetooth probe or manual entry. Out-of-range readings alert the supervisor and are stored with the proof of delivery.

05

Labels and manifests at dock

Sort staff print shipping labels and route manifests from the console on standard thermal printers. When a van is handed to a subcontracted courier, the manifest is scanned as one batch so every parcel changes custody at once.

06

Pin-drop address capture

Consignees in villas and new communities often lack a usable street address. The tracking link asks them to share a map pin and gate notes, which are saved against their profile for every later delivery.

UAE specifics

What changes in Dubai

The local rules and realities we design for before go-live. Rules change, so we re-check the current position at scoping.

Dubai South and airport cargo

For forwarders near Al Maktoum International, the app tracks air cargo pickups, bonded moves and hand-offs to local delivery, with timestamps your clients can see.

Tower and community deliveries

Deliveries to Business Bay towers and gated communities need gate passes, loading bay slots and concierge hand-offs. Drivers record the handover point and name, not just the building.

Online sellers across Dubai

DMCC and Business Bay SMEs selling online want their store to book a courier automatically. We expose an API and plug-ins so orders from Shopify or WooCommerce arrive in your console without email.

Working with businesses in Dubai: we support companies across JAFZA, DMCC, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Internet City, DIFC, Al Quoz and Dubai South, with remote delivery and on-site workshops where the project needs them.

How it works

How we deliver logistics app development

Phases, indicative timing and what is delivered in each. Scope is fixed and priced in AED before we start.

1Week 1

Dock and dispatch shadowing

Our team spends a morning wave and an afternoon wave at your Dubai warehouse, noting scans, label printing, rider hand-offs and exceptions.

2Weeks 2-3

Wave planning prototype

A clickable console shows how orders are grouped into waves and assigned to bikes or vans, reviewed with your dispatch supervisors.

3Weeks 4-10

Sprint build

Scanning, rider app, seller pickup form and client portal are built in two-week sprints, each ending in a test on your dock.

4Weeks 11-12

Busy-week pilot

The pilot is timed for a heavier trading week so we see how syncing, label printing and wave reshuffles behave under real volume.

5Week 13 onward

Client portal launch

Your 3PL clients receive portal logins and branded tracking pages, and we move to monthly releases and support.

When logistics app development is the wrong answer

If you are a Dubai online brand that simply hands parcels to an existing courier, you do not need a logistics app. A courier integration in your store, printing labels and pulling tracking numbers, is enough. And if you want customers ordering many services from one app, that is an on-demand marketplace, a different build we scope separately.

How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom software, so our written recommendation can point you to a simpler option, or to doing nothing yet.

FAQ

Logistics App Development in Dubai: questions we get asked

Does a Dubai logistics app suit 3PLs with several clients?
Yes. A 3PL version separates each client's orders, SKUs, pricing and branded tracking pages while drivers see one combined route. Client users log in to their own portal and see only their shipments, and you can bill each client from the same delivery records at month end.
Can drivers visit your team in Dubai for testing?
Our office is in RAK FTZ, and we run on-site workshops and pilot sessions in Dubai when the project needs it, typically at your depot during the pilot fortnight and for driver training. Day-to-day sprint reviews happen online, which keeps the schedule moving without waiting for meetings.
How does this differ from a food delivery app in Dubai?
A food delivery app serves diners ordering from restaurants, with menus, kitchen timers and one short trip per order. A Dubai 3PL moving cartons from a JAFZA warehouse needs dock scanning, multi-client billing, manifests and returns. Riders may look similar on the road, but the software underneath shares very little.
How is a Dubai courier app priced?
After a free discovery call you get a fixed quote in AED. For Dubai couriers the price mostly depends on whether you need seller pickup booking, a multi-client portal, cold chain logging and store plug-ins in the first release, or only the rider app and dispatch console.
Will the system cope with seasonal peaks?
Yes, if we plan for it. The backend scales horizontally in AWS me-central-1, and we load-test the console with several times your normal daily orders before the pilot. Ramadan evenings and year-end sales are the usual stress points for Dubai couriers, so we schedule releases away from them.
Can our store send orders straight to dispatch?
Yes. We provide a documented REST API and webhooks, plus ready connectors for Shopify and WooCommerce. An order paid online appears in the next dispatch wave with the customer's pin and slot, and the tracking number is written back to the store order automatically.
Why choose Shyphan?
We are a Zoho Premium Partner, an Official Odoo Partner and an independent Dynamics 365 consultancy that also builds AI and custom software, so we recommend by fit rather than by what we resell. Delivery runs from our Ras Al Khaimah office with remote delivery across all seven emirates.
