Time-based escalation
If an approver does nothing for a set number of working hours, Odoo reminds them, then escalates to their manager or a delegate. Leave and travel are respected so requests do not stall while someone is away.
Stage-based rules
Helpdesk tickets, CRM opportunities and projects move through stages with required fields per stage. A deal cannot reach Won without a signed quote; a project task cannot close without timesheets.
Segregation of duties
The person who raises a vendor bill cannot also approve payment, and changes to bank details trigger a second approver. These controls are what internal and external auditors ask to see.
