Reporting in Oman

Getting Zoho Analytics right in Oman

Omani management teams usually want one view across several companies and systems. This is what we build in Zoho Analytics.

One view across entities

Group companies, free zone entities and branches roll up into consolidated dashboards, with drill-down to each one.

VAT and tax figures you can check

Output and input VAT by period, corporate tax provisions and withholding tax are reported from the ledger, so finance can check the return before it is filed.

Data from the systems you already run

Tally, spreadsheets, bank exports and Zoho apps are blended, so nobody rebuilds the monthly pack by hand.

Dashboards on the phone

Owners who live on their phones get the key numbers in a mobile view, in rials, refreshed automatically.

What it does

What Zoho Analytics gives you out of the box

  • 250-plus connectors including Zoho apps, Tally, QuickBooks, Google Ads and SQL Server
  • Drag-and-drop report builder plus SQL for the analysts who prefer it
  • Zia natural-language querying: ask a question in English, get a chart
  • Scheduled email delivery of dashboards to directors who never log in
  • Row-level and column-level security so each branch or entity sees only its own numbers
Understanding Zoho Analytics

Is Zoho Analytics the right fit for your business?

Zoho Analytics suits Omani finance directors and operations leads assembling board packs by hand. If that describes you the platform will earn its licence quickly; if it does not, we will say so on the discovery call rather than after the invoice.

The capabilities that matter most in Omani deployments are 250-plus connectors including Zoho apps, Tally, QuickBooks, Google Ads and SQL Server and drag-and-drop report builder plus SQL for the analysts who prefer it. Everything else is configuration around those two.

Oman runs on trading, contracting, logistics, hospitality and professional services, and almost all of it on lean teams that cannot afford software nobody uses. We size the edition against what you will genuinely use, which frequently means recommending a cheaper plan than the one you arrived expecting to buy.

Understanding Zoho for Omani businesses
Across Oman

Zoho Analytics for businesses across Oman

We implement Zoho Analytics for clients in Muscat, Seeb, Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa, Barka, Sur and Duqm. Delivery is remote on Oman hours with on-site workshops where the scale justifies it.

Omani deployments almost always need three things handled properly: tax and corporate income tax treatment, integration with the finance system already in place, and training that survives the first busy month. Those are the parts we spend the most time on.

What we deliver

Our Zoho Analytics services in Oman

Everything from first configuration to long-term support, delivered by certified consultants and quoted as a fixed price in OMR.

01

Zoho Analytics implementation

Discovery, configuration and go-live shaped around your process, not a demo tenant. Fixed scope, fixed price in OMR.

02

Data migration into Zoho Analytics

Legacy records profiled, cleansed, de-duplicated and loaded with a sandbox dry run and written reconciliation.

03

Integration with your stack

Connections to Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, Google Analytics, SQL Server and CSV/SFTP feeds, built with proper error handling and monitoring rather than a fragile script.

04

Automation and customisation

Workflows, approvals, bilingual templates and custom fields so Zoho Analytics removes manual steps instead of adding them.

05

Training and ongoing support

Role-specific training in English or Arabic, written runbooks and a Oman-hours care plan covering changes and escalation.

Who this is for

Where Zoho Analytics is not the answer

It is a poor fit if you need a heavily bespoke system with no commercial off-the-shelf equivalent, or if nobody internally can own the data. In either case we will tell you on the first call rather than after the invoice.

Local compliance

What Oman compliance means for Zoho Analytics

Oman charges VAT at 5%, so every invoice, credit note and purchase has to carry the right tax treatment, and the return is filed with the Oman Tax Authority. Corporate income tax and excise sit alongside it, and the workforce obligations - WPS salary files, Social Protection Fund contributions and end-of-service accruals - are where much of the monthly effort goes.

ObligationWhat the rule isWhat has to be configured
Value added tax5% standard rate since 16 April 2021. Registration is mandatory above OMR 38,500 of annual taxable supplies and voluntary from OMR 19,250. Listed basic foodstuffs, healthcare, education and exports are zero-rated, and imported services fall under the reverse charge.Standard, zero-rated, exempt and reverse-charge tax codes on every item and contact, bilingual tax invoices with your VAT number, and a VAT return report that comes straight out of the ledger.
E-invoicingThe Oman Tax Authority is introducing electronic invoicing (Fawtara) in phases.Structured invoice data and document numbering kept clean now, so connecting to the e-invoicing platform is a configuration step rather than a rebuild.
Excise taxExcise applies to tobacco, energy drinks, alcohol and pork at 100%, and to carbonated and sweetened drinks at 50%.Excise-liable items flagged in the product master, with excise and VAT both calculated where a product attracts them.
Corporate and withholding tax15% corporate income tax for Omani and foreign companies, with 3% for qualifying small businesses. 10% withholding tax applies to certain payments to non-residents, such as royalties and fees for services. A 5% personal income tax on high earners has been announced for 2028.A chart of accounts that produces the return figures, non-deductible costs tracked as they are posted, and withholding tax calculated on payments to foreign suppliers.
Wages and social protectionSalaries are paid through the Wage Protection System. Social Protection Fund contributions apply to Omani employees, end-of-service benefits accrue for expatriate staff under the Labour Law, and Omanisation targets apply by sector.Nationality-based contribution rules, a WPS salary file from the payroll run, and monthly end-of-service accruals reconciled to the accounts.
Establishment and licensingCommercial registration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion through Invest Easy, and labour clearances through the Ministry of Labour, each renewed on its own cycle.Commercial registration, labour card and resident card expiry tracked against the entity and the employees who depend on them.

The filing calendar

  • Each tax periodVAT return and payment to the Oman Tax Authority, usually quarterly
  • MonthlyWPS salary transfers and Social Protection Fund contributions
  • MonthlyWithholding tax on payments to non-residents
  • After year endCorporate income tax return

Who you file with

We configure the system to produce what these returns ask for, and we test it against your own transactions before go-live. We are not tax agents: your accountant or tax adviser signs the return, and rates and thresholds change, so treat this as the shape of the work rather than advice. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.

FAQ

Zoho Analytics in Oman: questions answered

Can Zoho Analytics consolidate several Omani companies?
Yes. Each entity’s data is kept separate and tagged, and consolidated dashboards roll them up, with intercompany balances shown so they can be eliminated.
Can Zoho Analytics report VAT figures for Oman?
Yes. Output and input VAT by tax period, by treatment and by entity are reported from the ledger, so finance can check the numbers before the return is filed with the Oman Tax Authority.
Can Zoho Analytics report across Zoho and non-Zoho data?
Yes, that is its main strength. We commonly blend Zoho CRM pipeline with Tally or QuickBooks financials and ad spend to produce a single cost-per-won-deal view no individual system can generate.
Can we report per entity across a group?
Yes. Multi-entity groups get consolidated dashboards with row-level security, so a onshore Omani company, a free zone entity and a regional office each see their own figures while the board sees the total.
How often does data refresh?
Zoho app data can sync as often as hourly on standard plans; database and file sources are scheduled to your needs. For live operational screens we build direct query views instead of scheduled imports.
How much does Zoho Analytics cost in Oman?
Zoho licences it per user or per organisation depending on the edition, billed by Zoho directly. Our implementation is quoted separately as a fixed price in OMR after a free discovery call, so there are two clear numbers and no bundled surprises.
How long does a Zoho Analytics rollout take?
A focused Zoho Analytics build for a small Omani team typically goes live in three to six weeks including data migration and training. Larger scopes with integrations or multi-entity requirements are phased so value lands early.
Do you handle WPS payroll for Oman?
Yes. Payroll is structured so the WPS salary file, Social Protection Fund contributions for Omani staff and monthly end-of-service accruals for expatriates all come from the same data that drives the ledger, rather than a separate spreadsheet, and reconcile back to your accounts every month.

Where Zoho Analytics is weak - and what we do about it

Very large datasets and complex modelling are slower than a warehouse-backed BI stack, and the modelling layer is simpler than dbt plus a proper warehouse.

How we handle it: For heavy volumes we are honest that a warehouse is the right answer, and use Analytics for what it is genuinely good at.
