Working with us from Oman

Getting QA and Test Automation right in Oman

Omani clients usually ask the same practical questions before engaging a delivery team. This is how QA and Test Automation works.

Overlapping hours

The team works hours that overlap Sunday to Thursday on Gulf Standard Time, so stand-ups and reviews happen in your working day.

Fixed, phased quotes in OMR

Work is quoted in phases with a fixed price for each, so you approve one phase at a time.

You own the code

Repositories, documentation and credentials are yours from day one, not handed over at the end.

Arabic and English

Specifications, demos and handover can run in Arabic or English.

Across Oman

QA and Test Automation across Oman

We deliver QA and test automation for clients in Muscat, Seeb, Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa, Barka, Sur and Duqm. Projects run remotely on Oman hours with on-site workshops in Muscat, Seeb and Sohar where discovery or training justifies it.

A onshore Oman licence, a free zone entity and a branch office often sit under one owner here, so the software has to keep entities clean while giving the group one view. Whatever the sector, the failure mode is the same: software built without the people who use it, and abandoned within a year. Discovery is where we prevent that.

Most clients look at these next: Workflow Automation Software in Oman, Custom ERP Development in Oman and Ecommerce Development in Muscat.

Who this is for

Is QA and Test Automation the right fit for you?

QA and Test Automation suits teams whose process is well understood but still runs on copy-paste. If that is you, a prototype in the first two weeks will tell you more than another month of specification will.

It is a poor fit if an off-the-shelf product already covers ninety per cent of what you need, or if the requirements are still changing weekly. We will say so rather than bill for the discovery.

FAQ

QA and Test Automation Oman: questions answered

How is QA and Test Automation priced for Omani clients?
We quote a fixed price per phase in OMR or USD after a discovery call, with the scope written down. The rial is pegged to the US dollar, so either currency works for budgeting.
Can the QA and Test Automation team work Omani business hours?
Yes. Daily overlap with Sunday to Thursday on Gulf Standard Time is part of every engagement, with stand-ups, demos and support scheduled inside your working day.
Do we need test automation?
If you release more than occasionally, yes. Manual regression scales badly and is the reason most teams start avoiding releases. If you ship twice a year, targeted manual testing may be enough and we will say so.
Where should automation start?
With the journeys that would cost you money if they broke: signup, checkout, payment, core workflow. Coverage percentage is a poor target; risk coverage is the right one.
Can you test Arabic interfaces?
Yes. Right-to-left layout, mixed-direction text and Arabic content rendering are explicitly covered rather than assumed to work because English does.
Who pays corporate income tax in Oman?
Every company with taxable profits in Oman, whether Omani-owned or foreign. The standard rate is 15%, and a 3% rate applies to qualifying small businesses that meet the capital, income and headcount conditions. Withholding tax at 10% applies to certain payments to non-residents, such as royalties and fees for services. We set up the entity structure and chart of accounts so the return figures come straight out of the ledger rather than a year-end schedule.
Can you file our VAT returns with the Oman Tax Authority?
Filing stays with you or your tax agent, through the Oman Tax Authority's online portal. Our job is to make the return a report rather than a project: tax codes on every transaction, compliant tax invoices, input VAT supported by documents, and VAT and corporate tax figures that come straight out of the ledger.
How long does QA and Test Automation take in Oman?
A first usable version of a focused product typically ships in six to ten weeks, with a clickable prototype inside the first two so you are reacting to something real rather than to a document. Larger platforms run in phases of four to six weeks, and we release at the end of each phase rather than holding everything back for a single launch. Scope, integrations and how fast decisions come back from your side set the real number.

Where custom development is weak - and what we do about it

Bespoke software costs more than configuring a product and you own it forever, including the maintenance. If an off-the-shelf tool covers 80% of the need, building from scratch is usually the wrong call.

How we handle it: We say so at the first call, even when it means a smaller project - and we scope the 20% as a configuration or integration job instead.
