How Dynamics 365 handles an HR manager's week
Six jobs we configure first for HR teams in the UAE, and exactly how Dynamics 365 does each one.
Payroll and the WPS salary file
Business Central has no native UAE payroll, so we integrate a UAE payroll partner app or Zoho Payroll and post payroll journals back to Business Central.
Business CentralVisa, Emirates ID and document expiry
Document expiry held against the employee in Business Central or Dataverse, with Power Automate reminders in Outlook and Teams.
Business CentralGratuity accrual and final settlement
Gratuity accrual calculated in the payroll app and posted to a provision account in Business Central every month.
Business CentralEmiratisation tracking
A Power BI report on the employee data model showing the Emirati share by entity, with alerts when a hire or exit moves you off target.
Power BILeave, attendance and shifts
Leave and absence through the payroll partner app or Power Apps, with Teams approvals and attendance data from your devices.
Power AppsLetters and employee requests
Power Apps request forms with Word templates and approvals routed through Teams.
Power AppsThe UAE rules an HR manager has to get right
Global software does not know these by default. The jobs above show where each one is handled in Dynamics 365; we test every one on your own data before go-live and re-check the current position at scoping.

The home page each user gets for their role: headlines, activity cues, KPI tiles, charts and actions. The numbered callouts come from Microsoft's documentation.
- Headcount and cost by entity and department
- Documents expiring in 30, 60 and 90 days
- Accrued gratuity liability

A Power BI dashboard
Pipeline, revenue and opportunity tiles pinned from several reports into one dashboard, the layer we put over Dynamics 365 data.
- Emiratisation ratio vs target
- Absence and leave balance trends
- Time to hire and early attrition
Where Dynamics 365 is the wrong answer for an HR manager
This is the weakest area of the Microsoft stack for UAE SMEs: there is no native UAE payroll in Business Central, and Dynamics 365 Human Resources is aimed at larger enterprises. If HR and payroll are the priority, Zoho or Odoo are usually simpler and cheaper, and we will tell you so.
How we handle it: We implement Zoho, Odoo and Dynamics 365 and build AI and custom apps, so the written recommendation after discovery can say another option fits better, or that you should not buy anything yet.
