Overview

Support that knows your site, not just ERPNext

Generic support starts every ticket from zero. Ours starts with a health check: we review your configuration, custom apps, scheduled jobs, error logs and integrations, then write a short site profile. When someone in your accounts team asks why a supplier invoice will not submit, the engineer picking up the ticket already knows your workflows, your tax templates and which custom scripts run on that form.

That matters most at awkward moments. A stock valuation that looks wrong two days before a VAT3 deadline, a payroll journal import failing on the last working day of the month, or an upgrade quietly blocked by an old custom field. With a contract in place, each of these gets a known response path and an engineer who has seen your system before.

What you get

What our ERPNext support contracts cover

Helpdesk on Irish time

Users raise tickets by email or through a portal and get answers from engineers working on Irish time, with urgent issues such as a site outage escalated straight to a senior developer at any hour.

Bug fixing with root cause

We fix the immediate problem, find out why it happened, whether a script, a data issue or an upstream bug, and record the cause so the same fault does not come back next month.

Small enhancements included

Each contract includes an allowance of hours for minor changes, such as a new report column, an extra print format, a workflow tweak or a dashboard chart, without raising a separate project each time.

VAT period health checks

Ahead of each VAT3 deadline we check for draft invoices, missing tax templates and mismatched accounts, so your accountant gets clean figures rather than a list of surprises on the day.

Planned version upgrades

Major Frappe and ERPNext releases are tested on a staging copy with your custom apps, issues are fixed before the window opens, and production is upgraded at a quiet time with rollback ready.

Refresher training sessions

New starters and role changes are covered with short remote training sessions and written guides, so knowledge does not walk out the door when the one person who knew ERPNext moves on.

Irish deadlines and changes we plan support around

TopicThe Irish ruleWhat we set up
VAT3 cycleVAT3 returns are usually due every two months on ROS, so VAT figures must be clean at regular points through the year. Our support calendar schedules a pre-return check each VAT period, reviewing tax templates, unreconciled bank lines and draft invoices before your accountant pulls the VAT3 report.
Annual RTDThe Return of Trading Details is filed once a year through ROS and summarises the year's sales and purchases by VAT rate.Near year end we confirm that every item, expense account and tax template maps to the right rate, so the RTD report totals agree with the year's VAT3 returns.
Payroll exportsWith PAYE Modernisation, payroll software reports every pay run to Revenue in real time, so payroll inputs have to arrive complete and on time.We monitor the Frappe HR export to your Irish payroll package and the journal import back into ERPNext, and treat any failure close to pay day as urgent.
Rate and format changesIrish VAT currently uses rates of 23%, 13.5%, 9%, 4.8% and 0%, and Revenue has announced a phased move to B2B e-invoicing.When a rate changes we add new dated templates rather than editing old ones, so past invoices stay accurate. E-invoicing work is scoped as a planned change once Revenue confirms the details.

We configure the system and check it against your accountant’s figures; we are not tax advisers, and your accountant files the returns. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.

How it runs

How support starts and runs

1

Health check

We review configuration, custom code, integrations, error logs, backups and version status, then share a report of risks and quick wins before the contract begins.

2

Site profile and handover

Findings become a site profile used by every engineer, and if another provider built the site we arrange a handover call to capture what is undocumented.

3

Ticket handling

Tickets are triaged by business impact, acknowledged promptly and worked by engineers who know your set-up, with clear notes on the ticket about what changed and why.

4

Quarterly review

Every quarter we review ticket trends, enhancement hours used, upcoming Irish deadlines and system health, and agree priorities for the next few months together with your team.

5

Upgrade window

Major upgrades are planned in advance, rehearsed on staging with your key users and carried out in a quiet window with a tested rollback route.

FAQ

ERPNext Support in Ireland: questions answered

Do you support ERPNext sites you did not implement?
Yes. Many support clients come to us after their original provider moved on or an internal developer left. We start with a health check to understand the configuration and custom code, flag risks such as core file edits, and agree what needs fixing before the contract settles into normal running.
What does an AMC include?
An annual maintenance contract bundles helpdesk access, bug fixes, an allowance of hours for small enhancements, security patching, VAT period checks and planned upgrades into one yearly agreement. The exact mix is set per site, depending on users, custom apps and whether we also manage your hosting.
How do you prioritise tickets?
By business impact. A site that is down or blocking invoicing is handled first, followed by issues stopping one team from working, then questions and small changes. Each ticket is labelled with its priority when it arrives, so everyone knows where it sits in the queue.
Can you support our self-hosted server as well?
Yes. We can take on server management for a self-hosted bench, covering operating system patches, backups, monitoring and upgrades, or support only the application while your IT provider handles infrastructure. Either way we agree in writing who owns which tasks, so nothing falls between two parties.
What if a fix needs a change to core ERPNext?
We do not patch core files on your site. If a bug sits in ERPNext or Frappe itself, we report it upstream with a clear reproduction, apply a workaround in a custom app where possible, and remove the workaround once the official fix arrives in a release.
Can support cover Frappe HR and other Frappe apps?
Yes. Contracts can include Frappe HR, Helpdesk, Insights, Frappe CRM, LMS, Builder and Drive, as long as they run on a supported version. Integrations between those apps and ERPNext, such as HR expense claims posting to accounts, are covered as part of the same agreement.
