Understanding Zoho CRM

What Zoho CRM actually gives a French business

Zoho CRM is the sales system of record: leads, accounts, deals, forecasting, and the automation that moves them forward.

For French teams that matters because France runs on several million businesses, the overwhelming majority of them small and mid-sized, and almost all of them paying for more software than they use.. We configure it for French sales teams from two reps to two hundred, and we do it with the tax, payroll and payment realities of trading in France already accounted for.

Typical integrations we build alongside it include Microsoft 365, Outlook, Gmail, RingCentral, 8x8, WhatsApp Business, Xero, Zoho Books and Stripe, so Zoho CRM stops being an island and starts being part of how the business runs.

Across France

Zoho CRM across France

We work with French sales teams from two reps to two hundred in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Lille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Montpellier and Rennes and across every French region. Engagements run remotely on French business hours with on-site workshops where the scale justifies the travel.

Whatever the sector, the pattern is the same: French buyers are unusually price-sensitive about per-seat SaaS, which is why Zoho's bundled licensing lands well with French CFOs. Our job on a Zoho CRM accounting integration engagement is to make that specific to your business rather than generic to your industry.

Worth reading alongside this: what Zoho CRM does, migrating from another system, ongoing support, team training and integration work.

Finance in France

Getting Zoho CRM Accounting Integration right in France

Most French finance teams come to us with the same four problems. This is how we handle them in Zoho CRM Accounting Integration.

The right TVA rate on every line

20% on most sales, 10% on restaurant meals and passenger transport, 5.5% on most food and books and 2.1% on press and some medicines: each product carries its rate, and the CA3 or CA12 figures come straight from the ledger.

E-invoices through an approved platform

Invoices go out as Factur-X, UBL or CII through an approved platform (Plateforme Agréée), carrying the mandatory mentions: SIREN, intra-community VAT number, payment terms, the late-payment penalty rate and the EUR 40 recovery fee.

PCG accounts and a FEC on demand

The chart of accounts follows the Plan Comptable Général, and the FEC can be produced at any time, so a tax audit request is an export rather than a project.

EU trade handled properly

Intra-EU B2B sales apply the reverse charge (autoliquidation), B2C distance sales go through the OSS, and the data for EMEBI and DES declarations is ready each month, with the books kept in EUR.

What we deliver

What you get from our Zoho CRM accounting integration

Five things every Zoho CRM accounting integration engagement includes, quoted as a fixed price in EUR.

01

Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Zoho Books

Connection to the ledger you already run, or a clean move to Zoho Books if consolidating is cheaper than integrating.

02

Customer and item master rules

Explicit rules on which system owns the customer record and the price list, so the two never argue about who is right.

03

Quote to invoice flow

A won CRM deal raises the invoice in the ledger with correct TVA treatment, and payment status flows back onto the CRM record.

04

Credit and payment visibility

Account balance, overdue invoices and credit limit visible to sales, so reps stop selling to customers finance has put on stop.

05

Reconciliation reporting

A scheduled exception report comparing CRM-won revenue against invoiced revenue, because silent integration drift is a month-end problem.

French compliance

What French compliance means for Zoho CRM Accounting Integration

In France, TVA and corporate tax are filed with the DGFiP, payroll is reported every month through the DSN, and the e-invoicing reform changes how invoices are sent and received from 1 September 2026. These are the rules a French setup has to get right.

ObligationWhat the rule isWhat has to be configured
TVA (VAT)The standard rate is 20%, with 10% for restaurants, passenger transport and some renovation work, 5.5% for most food, books and energy-efficiency works, and 2.1% for the press and some medicines. Returns go on the CA3, monthly or quarterly for small amounts, under the régime réel normal, or on the annual CA12 with instalments under the régime réel simplifié. Intra-EU B2B trade uses the reverse charge (autoliquidation) with EMEBI and DES declarations, B2C distance sales go through the OSS, and import VAT is self-assessed on the CA3.The right rate by item and customer, SIREN and intra-community VAT numbers on every invoice with the mandatory mentions (payment terms, late-payment penalty rate and the EUR 40 fixed recovery fee), reverse charge and OSS treatment set correctly, deductible TVA tracked, and CA3 or CA12 figures for each period.
E-invoicing reformFrom 1 September 2026 every VAT-registered business must be able to receive structured e-invoices, and large and mid-sized companies (GE and ETI) must also issue e-invoices and e-report. SMEs and micro-businesses must issue from 1 September 2027. Invoices travel through approved platforms (Plateformes Agréées) in Factur-X, UBL or CII format, and invoices to the public sector already go through Chorus Pro.Zoho Books' French edition producing Factur-X invoices and connected to B2Brouter, an approved platform, for sending and receiving, customer SIREN numbers captured on every account, and the full flow tested before your issuing date.
Corporate tax (IS)The standard rate is 25%, or 15% on the first EUR 42,500 of profit for qualifying SMEs (turnover under EUR 10m, fully paid-up capital and at least 75% held by individuals). The annual liasse fiscale is built from accounts kept on the Plan Comptable Général, and the FEC (Fichier des Écritures Comptables) must be produced on request in a tax audit.A chart of accounts on the PCG, entities kept separate, fixed assets recorded, and journals kept complete and sequential so the FEC can be produced on request.
Payroll (DSN, URSSAF, PAS)Every month the employer files the DSN (déclaration sociale nominative) through net-entreprises.fr, pays social contributions to URSSAF and withholds income tax at source (prélèvement à la source). Payroll runs on a French payroll engine such as Silae, PayFit, Sage Paie or Cegid; Zoho Payroll is not available in France.Zoho People kept as the HR record and connected to your payroll provider, so hires, pay changes, absences and leavers flow across without rekeying, and payroll journals posting to the ledger.
Employment and data rulesThe legal working week is 35 hours, with RTT days where working time is set above it, five weeks' paid leave (2.5 working days per month), sector collective agreements (conventions collectives) and mandatory company health cover (mutuelle). GDPR is enforced by the CNIL, including consent before non-essential cookies, and the Loi Toubon requires French in consumer documents, employment documents and contracts.Leave, RTT and working-time rules set per collective agreement, accounts provisioned in Zoho's EU data centre (zoho.eu), consent captured for every contact, French templates for customers and staff, and access and deletion requests handled on record.

The filing calendar

  • Monthly, quarterly or annuallyTVA return: the CA3 monthly (or quarterly for small amounts) under the régime réel normal, or the annual CA12 with instalments under the régime réel simplifié
  • MonthlyDSN through net-entreprises.fr, with social contributions to URSSAF and income tax withheld at source
  • Once a yearLiasse fiscale and corporate tax (IS) return, built from the annual accounts
  • 1 September 2026 and 1 September 2027E-invoicing: every business must receive from 2026, large and mid-sized companies issue from 2026, and SMEs and micro-businesses issue from 2027

Who you file with

We configure the system to produce what these returns need, and we test it against your own transactions before go-live. We are not tax advisers: your expert-comptable signs the returns, and rates and thresholds change, so treat this as the shape of the work rather than advice. Last reviewed 24 October 2026.

FAQ

Zoho CRM Accounting Integration: questions answered

How is Zoho CRM Accounting Integration set up for TVA and the CA3?
We map products and customers to their TVA rate and treatment, apply the reverse charge on intra-EU B2B sales, put your SIREN and intra-community VAT number on every invoice and test the CA3 or CA12 figures against a full period of your own transactions before handover.
Is Zoho CRM Accounting Integration ready for the 2026 e-invoicing reform?
From 1 September 2026 every VAT-registered business in France must be able to receive structured e-invoices, large and mid-sized companies must also issue them and e-report, and SMEs and micro-businesses must issue from 1 September 2027. We set the system up to produce Factur-X, UBL or CII and to exchange invoices through an approved platform. With Zoho Books, that means its Factur-X export and its connection to B2Brouter, an approved platform.
Should we integrate CRM with Xero or move to Zoho Books?
If Xero works and your accountant is fluent in it, integrate. If you are also paying for a separate expense tool, invoicing tool and reporting tool, consolidating onto Zoho Books is often cheaper overall. We model both in EUR rather than assuming.
Which system should own the customer record?
Almost always CRM for the relationship and the ledger for the billing entity, linked by a shared reference. We define the field-level ownership map up front, because two-way sync without it produces overwrite arguments within a month.
Which systems do you most often integrate with in France?
Xero and Sage for finance, Microsoft 365 for identity, mail and calendar, Stripe and GoCardless for payments, Shopify and Amazon for retail, RingCentral and 8x8 for telephony, and a long tail of sector-specific portals.
What if our other system has no API?
We look for scheduled file exchange, database access or a supported import route first. Only when none exists do we consider RPA, and we will be clear about the fragility that brings.
Who owns the integration afterwards?
You do. Credentials sit in your accounts, documentation is handed over, and the care plan covers monitoring and fixes if you want us to keep watch.
How long does a Zoho CRM rollout take in France?
A single-pipeline CRM for a team of under twenty typically goes live in three to five weeks, including data migration and training. Multi-entity, multi-currency or heavily automated builds usually run six to twelve weeks with phased releases.
Can Zoho CRM handle French data such as SIREN, SIRET and VAT numbers?
Yes. We add custom fields for the SIREN (9 digits), SIRET (14 digits), intra-community VAT number, RCS registration and NAF/APE code, validate their format on entry, and keep the right numbers on quotes and invoices as the mandatory mentions require.
Is Shyphan a Zoho Premium Partner in France?
Yes. Shyphan is a Zoho Premium Partner listed on Zoho's official partner directory, with certified consultants across Zoho CRM, Books, Creator, People and Analytics serving clients throughout France.
How much does Zoho CRM Accounting Integration cost in France?
We quote a fixed price in EUR after a free discovery call, so you know the total before committing. Zoho licence fees are billed separately by Zoho and we will tell you exactly which edition you need and why.
Do you work with businesses outside Paris?
Yes. We deliver remotely across the whole France, from Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Lille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Montpellier and Rennes to smaller towns, with on-site visits available for larger rollouts.

Where Zoho CRM is weak - and what we do about it

Reporting is good but not a BI tool - anything beyond standard dashboards needs Zoho Analytics. Territory management is basic below the Enterprise tier, and heavy custom logic ends up in Deluge, which is quick to write and harder to maintain than real code.

How we handle it: We keep automation in the standard rules where we can, put genuine reporting in Analytics, and tell you before the project which tier you actually need.
