Vision Industries is a Saudi holding and investment platform developing green manufacturing supply chains. It assesses opportunities, authorises capex, builds factories and consolidates the finances of its subsidiaries.

  1. Opportunity diligenceOpportunities and partners needed structured diligence.
  2. Capex authorisationSpend had to be authorised before purchase orders.
  3. Factory build milestonesConstruction and equipment progress had to be tracked.
  4. Subsidiary consolidationGroup finance consolidated each subsidiary.

Before and after

What changed for the team

BeforeAfter

Opportunities and partners needed a structured diligence process before decisions

Opportunities and partners are assessed in one Zoho CRM pipeline

Spend had to be authorised before any purchase orders were raised

Only approved capex in Zoho Creator releases factory purchase orders

Construction and equipment progress needed tracking for each factory build

Factory construction and equipment milestones are tracked in Zoho Projects

Group finance had to consolidate the accounts of each subsidiary

Subsidiary books in Zoho Books roll up into group finance

How it works

The business process, step by step

  1. 01

    Opportunity

The investment team records each new industrial opportunity and potential partner in the Zoho CRM pipeline, so every proposal for the group's green manufacturing supply chains starts in one place.

  2. 02

    Feasibility and diligence

Opportunities and partners go through structured feasibility and diligence. Findings are kept with the opportunity in Zoho CRM and in the Zoho Creator investment tracker, ready for the capex decision.

  3. 03

    Capex authorisation

Capital expenditure is authorised in the Zoho Creator investment tracker before any spend is committed. Approved capex then releases purchase orders, so factory spending follows a recorded authorisation.

  4. 04

    Factory procurement

Purchase orders for factory equipment and materials are raised once capex is approved. Plant equipment is recorded in the equipment asset register in Zoho Creator so it can be tracked over time.

  5. 05

    Construction milestones

Factory construction and equipment progress is tracked as milestones in Zoho Projects. Once factory units are running, Odoo Manufacturing provides MRP for planning their production.

  6. 06

    Consolidation

Each subsidiary keeps its own books in Zoho Books, and group finance consolidates them. Zoho Analytics provides production and investment dashboards for the holding company's management.

FAQ

Questions about this project

How is capex controlled before purchasing?

Capital expenditure is authorised in the investment tracker built in Zoho Creator. Purchase orders for factory procurement are only released once the related capex has been approved, so spending follows a recorded authorisation rather than starting before a decision.

What does Odoo Manufacturing handle in this setup?

Odoo Manufacturing provides MRP for the factory units, covering production planning once a factory is running. The investment, approval, construction and finance side of the group runs on Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator, Zoho Projects, Zoho Books and Zoho Analytics.

How are subsidiaries consolidated?

Each subsidiary keeps its own books in Zoho Books. Group finance rolls these up into a consolidated view, and Zoho Analytics adds production and investment dashboards so the holding company can review the group as a whole.
