- Lost devices wiped remotely
Microsoft Intune device management is a cloud service for enrolling, securing and managing laptops, desktops, phones and tablets. It applies security policies, deploys apps and updates, enforces encryption and lets IT wipe lost devices, for both company-owned and personal devices. It replaces much of the work traditionally done by on-premise management servers.
Microsoft Intune Device ManagementMicrosoft Intune Device Management: what it involves
Laptops and phones now leave the office every day, often holding email, client files and saved passwords. Without central management, each device is configured by hand, patches depend on the user and a lost phone means hoping it had a passcode. Older tools that need devices on the office network no longer fit when staff work from home, client sites and different countries.
We set up Intune enrolment for company devices through Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise, plus app protection policies for personal phones so company data stays separate. Configuration profiles apply security baselines, BitLocker or FileVault encryption, Windows Update rings and approved apps. Compliance policies feed Entra ID conditional access, so a device that falls out of compliance loses access until it is fixed. Remote lock and wipe are tested before rollout.

- 2Whether your licences include Intune, such as Business Premium
- 3Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise accounts ready

- 5A pilot group to test policies before company-wide rollout

Microsoft Intune Device Management: common questions
Can Intune manage personal phones?
Yes. App protection policies secure company data inside apps such as Outlook and Teams without taking control of the whole device.
Do we still need our old management server?
Often not for laptops and phones. Some organisations keep co-management for a period while they move policies to Intune.
Does Intune work for Mac computers?
Yes. Macs can be enrolled through Apple Business Manager and managed with configuration profiles, apps and compliance policies.
What licences do we need for Intune?
Intune is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium and several Enterprise plans, or can be licensed on its own. We check what you already have.
Can Intune manage devices for staff working across Saudi Arabia and the UAE?
Yes. Intune works over the internet, so devices are managed wherever staff are, with policies for each entity if required.
Can Intune set up a new laptop without IT touching it?
Yes, with Windows Autopilot. A laptop shipped straight to the user configures itself on first sign-in.
