AWS Migration Services
Migration of servers, databases and applications to Amazon Web Services on a secure, well-organised account structure. For companies choosing AWS for its services, regional presence or their developers' existing experience.
- Multi-account foundation first
- Workloads moved in planned waves
- Modernisation where it pays off
AWS migration services move servers, databases and applications into Amazon Web Services. The work covers discovery, a secure multi-account landing zone, a migration strategy for each workload, staged cut-overs with testing and post-migration tuning. The aim is a well-governed AWS environment that performs at least as well as before and costs what was planned.
AWS Migration ServicesAWS Migration Services: what it involves
AWS offers hundreds of services, and that choice is part of the challenge. Teams new to the platform often start in a single account with root credentials in use, flat networking and resources created by hand in the console. When the migration is finished, it is hard to separate production from testing, assign costs to departments or show an auditor who can access what.
We set up a multi-account structure with AWS Organizations and Control Tower, central logging, IAM Identity Center for access and guardrails from the start. Discovery maps servers and dependencies, then each workload gets a path: rehost with AWS Application Migration Service, move databases with AWS Database Migration Service, or replatform onto managed services such as Amazon RDS. Waves are tested with application owners and cut over in agreed windows, with infrastructure captured as code where practical.
Before you migrate to AWS
- 1Which workloads belong in production, staging and testing accounts
- 2How staff and suppliers will sign in, ideally through single sign-on
- 3Applications with licensing tied to specific hardware
- 4Data that must stay within a particular country or region
- 5Who approves cut-over for each application
Our AWS Migration Services scope
Applications and data moved to AWS on a secure multi-account foundation

Organizations, Control Tower and guardrails set up before migration.
Servers, dependencies and usage mapped to plan migration waves.
Servers replicated and cut over with AWS Application Migration Service.
Databases moved with AWS DMS or native tools to limit downtime.
Environments captured in templates so they can be rebuilt reliably.
IAM Identity Center, CloudTrail and central logs from day one.
What you receive, and what shapes the cost
What you receive
- A discovery report with workloads, dependencies and target AWS services
- A landing zone with accounts, networking, identity and guardrails
- A migration plan with waves, test cases and rollback steps
- Migrated workloads with backup, logging and monitoring enabled
- A post-migration tuning and cost report
What affects the cost
- Number of servers, databases and applications to move
- How many workloads need refactoring rather than rehosting
- Network connectivity between offices, data centres and AWS
- Compliance and logging requirements for the target accounts
AWS Migration Services: project phases
- 01Discover
We gather inventory and usage data and map how applications depend on each other.
- 02Build foundations
We set up accounts, networking, identity and guardrails before any workload moves.
- 03Migrate in waves
We move groups of workloads with testing and agreed cut-over windows.
- 04Tune
We right-size, set budgets and hand over operating documentation.
Common AWS Migration Services mistakes
Running production and testing in one account makes access hard to control, so use separate accounts.
Broad inbound rules expose servers, so allow only the traffic each workload needs.
Untagged resources make cost tracking impossible, so agree tags before migration.
Moving everything unchanged can miss cheaper managed services, so review each workload's options.
AWS Migration Services terms explained
- AWS Organizations
- A service for managing several AWS accounts under one structure with shared policies.
- Security group
- A virtual firewall that controls traffic to and from AWS resources.
- Refactor
- Changing an application's design to use cloud-native services.
- AWS Application Migration Service
- An AWS tool that replicates servers into AWS for rehost migrations.

The difference you will notice
- 01Clean separation
Production, testing and departments in separate accounts.
- 02Auditable access
Sign-ins and changes logged centrally.
- 03Room to modernise
A foundation ready for managed and serverless services.
Five steps from assessment to always-on support
- STEP 01Assess
We review your infrastructure, security posture, assets and support model, and agree priorities.
- STEP 02Design
A clear architecture and plan, with scope, timeline and a fixed quote before work starts.
- STEP 03Deploy
We supply, install, configure and migrate, then document everything we build.
- STEP 04Manage
Ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance under agreed SLAs.
- STEP 05Improve
Regular reviews, reports and recommendations as your business grows.
AWS Migration Services in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
Local offices in Ras Al Khaimah and Riyadh, remote support around the clock and on-site visits where your project needs them.

AWS Migration Services in the UAE
Shyphan AI Technology LLC, RAK Free Trade Zone, Ras Al KhaimahAWS operates a Middle East region in the UAE, which lets UAE organisations keep workloads in the country if their policy requires it. We plan migrations around offices and free zone sites across the emirates, and design logging and access controls so data handling can be explained under the UAE PDPL or DIFC and ADGM rules. We support the Emirates from our Ras Al Khaimah office, remotely around the clock and on site where needed.
- Data handled in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), and the separate DIFC and ADGM regimes where they apply.

AWS Migration Services in Saudi Arabia
Shyphan AI Technologies LLC, Malaz, King Abdulaziz Road, RiyadhSaudi organisations moving to AWS first need to classify data and confirm where each workload may be hosted, given the Saudi PDPL overseen by SDAIA and, for some sectors, the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls. We plan connectivity and cut-overs with teams in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province. Our Riyadh office leads this work in the Kingdom.
- Work aligned with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (SDAIA) and, for government and critical infrastructure, the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls.
AWS Migration Services: common questions
Should we choose AWS or Azure?
It depends on your applications, skills and licensing. We work with both and explain the trade-offs for your situation.
Can you migrate without long downtime?
Replication tools keep data in sync until cut-over, so most systems switch over in a short planned window.
Do you rebuild applications for AWS?
Where it makes sense, we replatform onto managed services. Many workloads are rehosted first and modernised later.
Who runs the environment after migration?
Your team, with our documentation, or our AWS managed services team under an agreed scope.
Can you migrate a Dubai company's servers to the AWS region in the UAE?
Yes. We plan the landing zone and migration in that region, subject to service availability for the workloads you run.
Will we keep control of our AWS accounts after migration?
Yes. Accounts are created under your organisation, and our access is role-based and can be removed at any time.
Do you provide AWS Migration Services in Dubai and Riyadh?
Yes. We deliver AWS Migration Services across the UAE from our Ras Al Khaimah office and across Saudi Arabia from our Riyadh office, with remote support 24/7 and on-site visits in cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam where your project needs them.
