Network Audit & Assessment
A network audit gives you an independent view of how your network is built, how healthy it is and where the risks are. It is for businesses taking over an inherited network, planning an upgrade or preparing for a security review.
- Independent view of the whole network
- Findings ranked by risk and effort
- Usable as an upgrade plan
A network audit is an independent review of how a network is designed, configured, documented and secured. It examines switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, cabling, internet links and management practices, then produces a prioritised report of risks, performance problems and improvements, giving management a clear basis for upgrade, budget and security decisions.
Network Audit & AssessmentNetwork Audit & Assessment: what it involves
Many organisations do not know exactly what they have on their network. A previous provider left, documentation is out of date, devices are past end of support and nobody is sure which firewall rules still matter. Decisions about upgrades or new offices are then made on guesswork, and real risks such as default passwords or unpatched firmware stay hidden until something goes wrong.
We gather information on site and remotely: device inventory, firmware and support status, switch and firewall configuration, Wi-Fi coverage, internet links, cabling condition and existing documentation. We compare what we find with sound practice for a business of your size, then write a plain-language report with findings ranked by risk and effort. You can act on it with your own team or ask us to carry out the fixes.
What the audit covers
- 1Internet links, firewall and remote access setup
- 2Switching, VLANs and core network design
- 3Wi-Fi coverage, security and guest access
- 4Cabling and comms room condition
- 5Documentation, admin accounts and backups of device configs
Our Network Audit & Assessment scope
A structured review of your network with clear findings and a prioritised fix list.

Every switch, firewall, access point and router recorded.
Firmware versions and end-of-support dates checked.
Switch, firewall and Wi-Fi settings compared with good practice.
Weak passwords, open services and risky rules identified.
Bottlenecks, errors and capacity limits found.
Findings ranked by risk and effort, in plain language.
What you receive, and what shapes the cost
What you receive
- Inventory of network devices with model, firmware and support status
- Updated network diagram based on what is actually installed
- Configuration and security review of firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi
- Performance findings on bandwidth, Wi-Fi coverage and bottlenecks
- Prioritised report with risk ratings and a recommended action plan
What affects the cost
- Number of sites and devices in scope
- Whether Wi-Fi surveys and cabling inspection are included
- Availability of existing documentation and admin access
- Depth of security review required
Network Audit & Assessment: project phases
- 01Scope
We agree sites, devices, questions to answer and the access needed.
- 02Collect
We gather configurations, inventory, performance data and site observations.
- 03Analyse
We compare findings with good practice and your business needs.
- 04Report
We present a prioritised action plan and answer questions from management.
Common Network Audit & Assessment mistakes
Weak switches, Wi-Fi or management practices also cause outages and breaches, so review the whole network.
An audit without goals produces a long list nobody acts on, so agree which decisions it should support.
Devices without vendor updates stay vulnerable, so record the support status of every device.
Findings help only when acted on, so assign an owner and a target date to each action.
Network Audit & Assessment terms explained
- End of life
- The date after which a vendor no longer releases updates or support for a product.
- Configuration review
- A line-by-line check of device settings against security and design good practice.
- Single point of failure
- A component whose failure stops a service because there is no backup path.
- Risk rating
- A score that combines how likely a problem is with how much harm it would cause.

The difference you will notice
- 01A clear picture
An accurate view of what you have and its condition.
- 02Known risks
Security gaps listed with what to do about each.
- 03A plan to act on
Prioritised steps for budgets and upgrade decisions.
Five steps from assessment to always-on support
- STEP 01Assess
We review your infrastructure, security posture, assets and support model, and agree priorities.
- STEP 02Design
A clear architecture and plan, with scope, timeline and a fixed quote before work starts.
- STEP 03Deploy
We supply, install, configure and migrate, then document everything we build.
- STEP 04Manage
Ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance under agreed SLAs.
- STEP 05Improve
Regular reviews, reports and recommendations as your business grows.
Network Audit & Assessment in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
Local offices in Ras Al Khaimah and Riyadh, remote support around the clock and on-site visits where your project needs them.

Network Audit & Assessment in the UAE
Shyphan AI Technology LLC, RAK Free Trade Zone, Ras Al KhaimahUAE companies often request a network audit after an acquisition, a change of IT provider or a demanding client security questionnaire. The findings can feed evidence of appropriate technical measures under the UAE PDPL, and firms in DIFC or ADGM can use them when preparing for reviews under those zones' data-protection regimes. We support the Emirates from our Ras Al Khaimah office, remotely around the clock and on site where needed.
- Data handled in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), and the separate DIFC and ADGM regimes where they apply.

Network Audit & Assessment in Saudi Arabia
Shyphan AI Technologies LLC, Malaz, King Abdulaziz Road, RiyadhIn Saudi Arabia a network audit is a practical first step for organisations preparing for NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls assessments or ISO/IEC 27001 certification. It also helps companies with sites in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province check whether branch networks follow the same standard as head office. Our Riyadh office leads this work in the Kingdom.
- Work aligned with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (SDAIA) and, for government and critical infrastructure, the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls.
Network Audit & Assessment: common questions
Will the audit disrupt our staff?
No. Most information is collected quietly, and any checks that could affect users are scheduled at a quiet time.
Is this the same as a penetration test?
No. A network audit reviews design, configuration and health. A penetration test actively tries to break in. We offer both, and the audit often comes first.
Do we have to use you for the fixes?
No. The report is yours to act on with any team. Many clients do ask us to carry out the higher-priority fixes.
Can the audit support compliance work?
Yes. The findings can feed into preparation for frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, though an audit by us is not a certification.
Can a network audit help us prepare for an NCA ECC assessment in Saudi Arabia?
It can cover the network parts of the controls, such as segmentation, logging and device hardening, and show where gaps exist before a formal assessment.
Do you need admin passwords for the audit?
Read-only access is enough for most checks, and we agree how credentials are shared with us and removed at the end.
Do you provide Network Audit & Assessment in Dubai and Riyadh?
Yes. We deliver Network Audit & Assessment across the UAE from our Ras Al Khaimah office and across Saudi Arabia from our Riyadh office, with remote support 24/7 and on-site visits in cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam where your project needs them.
